Our Governance

We believe that strong governance is crucial to achieving our mission and ensuring transparency, accountability, and trust with our funders, beneficiaries, and stakeholders. Here’s how our governance model is structured:

Board of Trustees

Our Board of Trustees is the governing body of Korea Future. Comprised of dedicated volunteers with diverse backgrounds and expertise, the Board have independent control over, and legal responsibility for, Korea Future's management and administration. They advance the purposes of the organisation for the public benefit, ensure compliance with our governing document and UK and Dutch law, act and make decisions in the organisation's best interests, manage our resources responsibly, and ensure we comply with statutory accounting and reporting requirements. They oversee our directors’ work, meeting quarterly as a board and monthly with the directors.

Senior Leadership Team

Our Senior Leadership Team is responsible for high-level oversight of programmes, assessing collated information to help identify and overcome challenges, and gathering information from programme managers concerning progress, staff, and partners.

Programme Managers

Our Programme Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our programmes, implementing the strategies and policies approved by the Board and overseeing key areas such as programme staff, programme delivery, and communications.

Transparency and Accountability

We are committed to transparency and accountability in all our operations. We publish our annual reports and financial statements on our website, providing a detailed account of our activities, achievements, and financial health. Additionally, we adhere to the regulatory requirements set by the Charity Commission for England and Wales and the Dutch Tax Administration, ensuring that we operate with integrity and in the best interest of our charitable and public objectives.
