Korea Future Cited in 2023 U.S. Department of State Human Rights Report

We are pleased that Korea Future's efforts in documenting human rights violations in the DPRK penal system have been recognised in the 2023 U.S. Department of State Human Rights Report. This comprehensive report assesses the state of internationally recognised individual, civil, political, and worker rights, grounded in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international agreements.
Our findings on torture, cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment, and the conditions within the DPRK's penal system has been highlighted, underscoring the impact of our work on global understanding and policy. It is gratifying to see our findings being used to inform government strategies and contribute to shaping international perspectives on the critical issues facing detainees in the DPRK.
